School Reviews

This school has very kind students, however issues of discrimination are often not dealt with. Science and social studies are NOT taught until students begin testing for CMAS. Also, every student including English-speaking students are forced to take English Speaking Classes, so the majority does not feel left out. The innovation plan waives the right to the principal process, waives the parent right to not hold their children back, and waived the right to a nurse. The CSC makes decisions like picking the principal, reducing the nurse, without consulting other parents. There have been huge issues of race and discrimination that were handled by bringing in basketball players instead of addressing the issue. The current principal was requested to take culturally appropriate training because of the way she interacted with minority teachers. There are lots of after-school programs. The turnover rate is very high.
