School Reviews

1   1/20/2020
Eaton Rapids High School has a policy that belittles some of their student's hard work. This is extremely frustrating as a parent to see their child work so hard to compete in competitions that earn a name for the school but, then that student does not get recognized for all of their effort and hard work. How disturbing this is to see and go through with your child. My child is not into physical sports. My child does love music. The chamber choir has auditions to get into this choir just as a sport does. The chamber choir has competitions they travel to and work hard for. These meets win trophies and plaques and things which, in return, make the school look good. Just as a physical sport does. My child's heart goes into this and just as a physical sport my child would love to show off the fact that they are in this school activity showing school pride and spirit with a varsity jacket. My child could waste time making bad decisions but instead chooses to be active in things like musicals/drama and choir that bring awards and findings to the school only to not be able to be recognized as doing so. This is wrong on multiple levels and feel everyone should know the truth about this schools musical attributes before donating anymore time or money to any of the musical departments of Eaton Rapids School District are given and donated.
